Ask Your Child About:

 

          q Geometry!  What are the different ways to categorize triangles based on their sides? (scalene – none the same; isosceles – two the same; equilateral – all the same)  What are the different ways to categorize triangles based on their angles? (right – one right angle or 90 degree angle; acute – three angles smaller than a right angle; obtuse – one angle bigger than a right angle)

          q something new s/he learned about this weekÕs Star of the Week: Angela!

          q our cause and effect energy projects.  Where does most of our energy originally come from? (the sun)  Can you trace the energy path from the sun to kicking a ball?

          q Diamante poetry.  What is it?  What were the two nouns s/he wrote about?

          q the 100 day puzzle.  What was the puzzle, who was able to solve it and with what word?  (Rose – Wednesday)

          q our very exciting 2-hour delay!

          q more geometry: what are rays, lines, and line segments?  What does it mean when two lines are parallel?  When they intersect?
