The most recent Ask Your Child About... is now available. This week's homework is also up. It's a nice, easy week due to the Rosh Ha'Shanah holiday and Parent-Teacher Conference Day on Friday.
I've sent home a conference schedule. Please make sure to sign up if you haven't already.
And just an FYI - I'll be out Tuesday and Wednesday for the Jewish holiday.

On Fridays, I try to send home an Ask Your Child About... sheet that provides parents with information about what took place during the week. The most recent Ask Your Child About... is now available.

Homework begins next week! I try my best to keep the homework page updated with the weekly assignment sheet, spelling list and Word Wall homework, book report information, Time for Kids homework, and blank reading logs. I also put math and other miscellaneous homework up there when necessary.
I send homework home each day, but should your child misplace his/her homework or be absent, this is a great way to keep on top of things.

I send home the Scholastic Book Club flyers on the first Monday of each month (in this case, Tuesday, due to Labor Day). Orders are due the Friday of that week. Scholastic provides a Parent Guide that accompanies some of the flyers. Below are this month's flyers and guides.

Welcome to a new school year! Please take a moment to look around the website. This is my way of communicating with parents in a way that is helpful and convenient. You'll find all sorts of information, including how to volunteer in the classroom, field trip news, and homework.
This year, I am going to try to cut down on paper by posting as much as I can on the website, such as my weekly Ask Your Child About... sheets that I usually send home on Fridays, letters to parents, and Scholastic Parent Guides. Please check back often for updates.
