This month's book report is a letter to the author of a fantasy book. The instructions and the rubric are both available on the homework page. Also, here are the instructions and rubric for the DC Monument project that is due on Friday, November 20th.

I've been spending some time today working on updating the website. This week's homework is ready. (I can't put up the math sheets due to copyrights.) Make sure to congratulate October's Super Spellers! The most recent Ask Your Child About is available. Also, take some time to check out the Writing and Artwork section - it's been updated!

This week's homework, although late, is now up. I'm sorry about that - I've been very busy working on report cards, which go home a week from Friday. Also, all book logs are ready to go home tomorrow - I'm sorry I've held onto them for so long. I have a bunch of pictures to put up, and will probably get to that over the weekend. The walk to Politics and Prose was great - thank you to the parents who went with us. We had a great time meeting Mary Amato and learning about her new book, Take the Mummy and Run. In fact, a few of the students were so inspired by her that they've started working on their own books during DEAR time.
