Reading
Every night, students are expected to read aloud for ten minutes. Each week, students are expected to fill out their reading log.
Spelling
Students are given seven new spelling words each week. Spelling quizzes are given on Fridays.
Word Wall homework is usually given on Wednesdays.

Usually on Tuesdays, students will be given a Time For Kids magazine to read and a worksheet to complete based on the reading.

Book Reports
A book report is due once a month. Report instructions are provided at the beginning of the month, and the report is due at the end of the month.
